Mechanical Engineer - Senior

We are currently looking for Senior Mechanical Engineers who are passionate about robotics, iterative design, and prototyping. You will work on a team of mechanical engineers producing extremely high-quality hardware on groundbreaking robots going out into the world. Day to day activities: 

• Collaborate with other engineers to dream up, design, and develop prototype robots to achieve design targets
• Develop new concepts and perform analysis on designs while considering constraints from multiple disciplines (electrical design, manufacturing, business needs)
• Create CAD models, drawings, and specifications for parts and assemblies
• Troubleshoot issues, determine root causes, design and implement corrective and preventative solutions

Desired skills:

• BSME and 5+ years of relevant experience (including MSME/PhD degrees with professional engineering experience)
• 2+ years of experience in a professional and product-driven environment
• Development of complex products through trade studies or system design and analysis
• Advanced Fusion 360 user or equivalent (Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, etc.), including finite element analysis
• Expertise in mechanism design, electro-mechanical actuators, sensors, or data analysis
• Transitioning early designs to products [NPI, EVT, DVT]
• Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken

Nice to haves:

• Mass production of complex electromechanical assemblies [DFM, DFA]
• Plastic and die-cast part design and materials knowledge
• Tolerance analysis and a strong understanding of GD&T
• Test stand development and validation testing
• Programming (C++, Python)
• System or topology optimization
• Understanding of ROS (Robot Operating System)

We are currently building an autonomous disinfection robot using UV-C light. Even before Covid-19 era, more than 100 000 people in EU alone died every year due to the hospital acquired infections. The Robo-UV is our answer to that. Working on some on some solutions taken from Tesla or Nvidia and inventing and leading the path in other aspects. We are on the fast track to deliver the first advanced robot available for the mass clientele, not only the wealthiest.
